So much more comfortable than traditional mats I’m confused by the reviews that say there was no strap with this mat. I initially thought it came without one, but it was wrapped up in the middle – so don’t worry when you get it and you don’t immediately see the straps. You’ll need them, too, since many non-adjustable yoga mat straps are much too small for this thick mat. If you buy other straps that are more attractive than plain black, just make sure you buy adjustable ones. As you can see in my picture, though, there was a plain black strap with the mat. It smelled a little bit when I first opened it, but after leaving it unfolded overnight, that dissipated.

M&I says:

Cheap, comfy with flawed marketing and packaging. While the picture may include a strap, there is not one included. The mat has a nice spring to it and it will offer some cushion if you’re a lower back pain sufferer. It isn’t perfect. When you start to get sweaty it will stick to you not the floor. Also the packaging was abysmal. A little advice to the manufacturers (who will likely never, ever read this) don’t wrap a foam product with high adhesive packing tape! When removing the tape pieces of the mat simply tore off.

Jessica Talbot says:

Decent, but not the best for a newbie. The mat is a bit cumbersome, but it’s exactly as specified. The only problem I have is that it’s REALLY hard to balance on compared to the thin yoga mats. So just a warning, if you are unbalanced like I am and new to yoga, the extra padding may sound fantastic but really just makes you slip around a lot more!
