Diesel Fuel Supplement +Cetane Boost is an anti-gel/winterizer that is used in the cold winter months to keep fuel filters from plugging with wax and to prevent fuel gelling. This Arctic formula effectively treats all diesel fuels to keep equipment running trouble-free for maximum winter operability. Diesel Fuel Supplement is intended for use only during cold winter months when temperatures drop below 30 degree Fahrenheit. Use Diesel Kleen +Cetane Boost (in the silver bottle) for peak performance in non-winter months. If your vehicle will not start or gain power in cold temperatures, use Diesel 911 (in the red bottle) as directed on the container label.

VW Golf TDi I’ve been using Power Service in my Golf for the 2 years I’ve had it and my average MPG is 47 (my car is only rated for 44 highway). I am a skier and use my car to drive to the resorts; when I use the anti-gel Power Service (white bottle, 1080 part number) instead of the normal Power Service (gray bottle, 3080 part number) my MPG drops a little, BUT, I’ve never had my fuel gel, even when temperatures dropped below 0 degrees F. Another big benefit over not using anything is the cetane boost; if I have to fill up from a supplier I’m not too sure about, I feel a little better knowing the cetane boosting aspect of it will help lubricate my fuel system. When using the white bottle, my car is a little louder than when using they grey bottle. The white liquid is more transparent then the grey liquid.A good resource for diesel fuel additives and how they compare to each other can be found here:[…]

Fleets swear by it, and so do I As a diesel pickup owner who lives where winter actually exists, gelling is an annual concern. Had success with dedicated anti-gel additives over the years, but the rest of the year, you can be at the mercy of a stale batch of fuel if you have to fill at a station that doesn’t sell as often as a truck stop. Power Service Diesel Fuel Supplement is an excellent year-round additive that gives you great anti-gel performance in the winter, but includes cetane booster and other benefits all year long. Since I’ve been using it regularly, I get strong starts, smooth idle, almost no cold smoke, and better throttle response. And I never worry about where I buy fuel, although common sense dictates that you only buy diesel where plenty of customers/truckers do… that means the station gets plenty of turnover and fresh fuel more often.

Great for preventing home heating oil from gelling. Home heating oil typically gels at 17 degrees fahrenheit but I just add a bottle of this before my oil man tops me off and we never have any issues with gelling. According to the bottle it will prevent 250 gallons of fuel from gelling down to -40 so my 275 gallon tank is good to somewhere around there. This is much cheaper than mixing in kerosene.
