Clean Eating Has Helped Me Balance My Sugar Levels I have hypoglycemia and I’m always looking for a way to eat better to keep my roller coaster sugar levels at bay. I wasn’t sure what “Clean Eating” was – until I read Clean Eating Made Simple. After several weeks using the ideas outlined in this book, I can honestly say I feel better, haven’t had nearly as many hypoglycemic episodes and have even lost weight! My favorite advice is to focus on smaller meals, eat more fruits and vegetables (I always felt like the natural sugars in fruits were bad for me! Turns out, they are only bad when you are also eating cake and ice cream!) and never skip a meal. Sometimes it’s easier to skip a meal rather than eat poorly when I can’t find something healthy. Now I understand the importance of making SURE I have something healthy to eat with me so I don’t fall back on skipping or eating crap. Lastly, perhaps the best note in the book is the fact that clean eating isn’t an “all or nothing” deal. Do my best…plan ahead… and don’t…

Definitely Simple Clean Eating Made Simple is just as it says. Simple. It goes over the principles of clean eating as well as why we should eat clean. The book does a good job of breaking everything down. It gives lists of what to eat and what not to eat as well as how much of different nutrients we should have. The recipes were simple and I had most of the ingredients in my kitchen already, but have been eating clean for awhile. So those who are just starting out will have a bit of an investment for the recipes. There were a few recipes that I would like to try, but for the most part the recipes were pretty generic. I have been able to find free cookbooks (kind of like clean minus grains, legumes, and dairy) that are just as good as this one. I have also researched clean eating online (for free) and this did not give me any new information. Overall, although the cookbook lived up to it’s name , I would probably not spend the money again.
